About Us
Erik started working in the tree industry in 1988 while a Freshman at the University of Massachusetts. After graduating UMass with a BS in Forestry, Erik spent 2 years in the Peace Corps in Niger, West Africa. Upon returning in 1996, he moved out to Seattle and began working for a small tree company where he advanced his skills. In 2001, Erik branched out on his own and started The Tree Stewards. He and his wife Becky moved to Carnation, WA in 2004 where they continue to raise their two kids on Tolt River Farm.
Erik is Certified with ISA, is a member of Plant Amnesty as well as both the Carnation and Duvall Chambers of Commerce.
